Bolinao & Hundred Islands : A Lovely place to feed your curiosity

Curiosity and I goes to Bolinao and Hundred Islands

This is my first time going to the beautiful Islands of Pangasinan, together with my new met friends Daisy Hermoso with her group as well as Kuya Lemuel with his partner. Now join me as I feed my curiosity here!

Folk etymology attributes the name "Bolinao" or this remote fishing enclave from the fish piece "monamon" but commonly called "Bolinao" by the Tagalogs, Bicolanos and the Visayans. A theory also points out that once upon a time "pamulinawen" trees grew luxuriantly along its shores, thus, the Ilocano migrants who crossed the Lingayen Gulf named it phonetically similar to the name of the tree. Nowadays, however, such tree does not exist anymore.

The Hundred Island National park was created by Presidential Proclamation No. 667, covering an area of 16.76 square kilometres (6.47 sq mi) and signed by President Manuel L. Quezon on January 18, 1940, for the benefit and enjoyment of the people of the Philippines and known as the Hundred Islands National Park (HINP). The Republic Act No. 3655 signed on June 22, 1962, created the Hundred Islands Conservation and Development Authority (HICDA), for the conservation, development and management of HINP. The park including Lucap Bay was transferred from HICDA to the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) by virtue of Section 35 of Presidential Decree No. 564. (courtesy: Wikipedia)

Pangasinan has already known as the home of the hundred islands. A wonderful sight that anyone can never resist so, I decided to join a tour going here for me to be able to cut my budget into a much lesser price. From Manila our group has assembled in McDonalds Blue Bay Macapagal and was depart at 2am of April 18, 2015. After how many hours of travel (including stop overs) I met our first destination… Welcome to Bolinao Falls!

We have visited the following as part of our itinerary, though it made me feel exhausted
❊ Quezon Island
❊ Children Island
❊ Marcos Island
❊ Governors Island
❊ Cuenco Cave and also visit
❊ PBB Big Brother house
❊ Cape Bolinao lighthouse
❊ Bolinao Church
❊ Patar white beach
❊ Enchanted Cave and
❊ Bolinao falls

Though, We have an Epic Fail looking for the PBB Big Brother House (because we've lost our way to the house) Unexpectedly, We have reached the beauty of the Virgin Island.

way to virgin island

Leaving the island is not that hard as we thought because we knew that Children Island is waiting for us!

Governor's island

Summer has never been this good! Mind my Skin tone (I may have dark skin but cannot get these experience just by taking bath in the bath room). Just be responsible for your belongings (If you wish to carry your cameras during island hopping, make sure you'll secure it with plastic or Zip-locks)

Our Accommodation is in VISLAS (Vista delas Islas) for an overnight. I dont consider our stay as 5 star or 3 star but i can say that it is alright narin because they have an attentive employees. let's not just talk about the Room Accommodation because the establishment is quite old already (Overall, If I rate it? I'll give 2 star)
... well atleast they have a very wide area with Swimming Pool and a lot of establishments like souvenir shops, restaurant and cafes.

How about you? Would you like also to feed your curiosity with good memories and a lot of exciting adventure?
